By Placing an order with B's Bakes you agree to all the terms and conditions outlined.:
Price: The price for the cake is non negotiable and will be stated in your quotation, this may be in the form of an Email, Facebook message or a paper copy. Your quote is valid for 30 days following your enquiry or consultation. When ordering the cake you agree to pay the deposit and the full balance to B’s Bakes as stated on the contract, this may also be sent in the form of an Email, Facebook message or a paper copy, by the dates stated.
Deposit: A 50% non-refundable and non-transferrable deposit secures the date of your wedding and covers the cost of time and work for administration and preparation of your order. If the cake is ordered with less than 4 weeks until the wedding the full cost of the cake is required as a non refundable deposit. Payment details can be found at the end of your contract or will be provided to you via email / message.
Payment: The remaining balance of the cake is due by 1 month prior to the date of the wedding or 2 weeks prior to the date of collection for a celebration cake. Payment may be made by Bank transfer (By a minimum of 4 weeks before the date of collection or delivery). Payment details can be found at the end of your contract.
Non Payment: It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that payment can be made by the due date. In the event that any payment is not received by the due date the cake and it’s decorations will not be made until payment is received. This will result in the design of your wedding cake being compromised as there may not be enough time to make decorations for the cake in the event of late payment. The customer will be responsible for the payment of any additional charges which have been incurred as a result of payment failure.
Alterations: It is the customer's responsibility to read through the quotation and design thoroughly before ordering a cake. If an amendment is required to any detail (including set up time / delivery) this must be confirmed in writing either via email, post or a facebook message. B's Bakes will endeavour to accommodate the changes as much as possible, in some cases it may not be possible to meet the requirements of the changes due to the nature of the request or the notice given. In the case of all changes the price will be altered accordingly. No alterations can be accepted within 8 weeks of your collection / delivery date.
Collection: A signature is required upon collection confirming that you have received your cake(s) in good condition and as specified to the best of B’s Bakes ability. B’s Bakes accepts no responsibility for any damage to cakes once they have left B’s Bakes premises.
Delivery and Setting Up: Delivery and set up is included on wedding cakes of £400 and over to venues within 25 miles of B's Bakes for set ups on the morning of the wedding (before 12pm), for venues exceeding this a 50p per each additional mile charge applies. Wedding cakes and other orders under £400 are for collection only, delivery may be available at the owners discretion. Delivery required during the afternoon or evening are available at an additional non-negotiable fee. Should you require your cake to be delivered this must be arranged at the time of ordering. B’s Bakes will deliver and set up your cake as agreed at the time arranged and will want to ensure it is displayed at its best. It is therefore, your responsibility to ensure you have provided the set-up details and arrangements made with the venue for the location and display of your cake. B’s Bakes cannot be held responsible for the location of the cake at the venue. Please ensure that the display location is level, stable and strong enough to hold the cake. Changed is time for delivery made by the venue or yourself may be subject to an additional charge.
Please also remember that chocolate/buttercream cakes can melt and sugarpaste cakes may sweat in warm conditions such as inside a marquee on a hot summer’s day, or when set up in direct sunlight.
If a cake is to be delivered and set up by B’s Bakes, a signature will be required from someone at your venue confirming the cake has been received and set up in good condition. A photograph of the cake will be taken prior to departure by B’s Bakes to verify that the cake has been set up and left in good condition. Once the cake has been collected or delivered, set up and signed for, B’s Bakes is unable to accept liability for any interference with or damage to the cake thereafter.
Flowers: Fresh flowers are not included in the price of the cake. B's Bakes is able to work alongside the florist of your choice, however, we expect you to make all the necessary arrangements. We do ask that details of your florist be provided to arrange a set up time convenient for your florist, ourselves and the venue. B's Bakes does not accept any responsibility for your cake following the addition of a floral arrangement implemented by ourselves, the florist or anyone else.
Allergens: Some products may be requested to be made using ingredients free of an allergen. Although the product may not contain this allergen directly we cannot guarantee that our products do not contain traces of all allergens or guarantee the absence of cross contamination.
Cancellation: Cancellation must be made in writing either via email, post or a facebook message.
Wedding cake cancellations; As your wedding cake booking is reserved solely for you and certain components for your cake(s) may be ordered or made months in advance, the following conditions are implemented when an order is cancelled:
Cancellation 3 months from the wedding date – 50% of the total cost will be payable
Cancellation 1-3 months from the wedding date - 90% of the total cost will be payable
Cancellation within 1 month of the wedding date – 100% of the total cost will be payable
B’s Bakes cannot transfer your booking to a different date.
B's Bakes reserves the right to cancel a booking when situations beyond our control take place for example ill health or fire. In these circumstances all money taken will be refunded in full.
B’s Bakes reserves the right to refuse an order based on the discretion of the owner.
In the unlikely case of a problem with your cake, please contact B’s Bakes immediately so the problem can be resolved! If you are unhappy with your cake for any reason, please contact via email B’s Bakes on the day of your event, you must contact on the day of your event so that your cake can be returned. Without proof that you are unhappy with the cake and that you will not be using it for your event, we will be unable to assess the problem or be able to refund any of your payment. Refunds are at the discretion of B’s Bakes.
Offers & Vouchers
When redeeming an offer ran by B’s Bakes it may not be used in conjunction with any other offer. It MUST be stated at the time of quotation that you are redeeming an offer, failure to do so may lead to B’s Bakes not honouring the discount. Offers are ran solely by B’s Bakes. All offers are subject to date availability.
B’s Bakes supplies a list which states the allergens which are contained in the ingredients, however, this does not guarantee that the cake is free of all other allergens as allergens are handled in the kitchen. B’s Bakes does not offer allergen free cakes at the moment.
